Impressum Plus 2.14.0 and Impressum 2.2.0 released

The new versions for Impressum Plus and Impressum focus on enhancing existing functionality as well as bug fixes. They thus refine the overall experience of those plugins.

Accessibility information enhancements

The accessibility information in Impressum Plus is now more specific for all European countries other than Germany and Austria (the latter already were specific previously). That means, that now for all affected countries, the correct market surveillance authority is displayed and the actual name of the applicable law as well.

Social Media

Alongside the option to open social media links in a new tab, there is now support for additional social media networks:

Block inconsistency

The previous version of Impressum still had an old version of the imprint block, resulting in the controls of the enabled fields being displayed as a multi-select field. This field has certain barriers for users to overcome, e.g. knowing that you can select multiple items with CTRL/CMD. To overcome this and to streamline the user experience above both plugins, they now both use checkboxes for each field, alongside a checkbox to quickly enable/disable all fields.

Joint partnership

Similar to the German Partnership legal entity (GbR), there is now also support for the Austrian joint partnership (GesbR).

Bugfixes

If you were curious about some fields being displayed in the editor but not on the frontend itself, be it the country or the legal entity type, this is now being fixed. The editor now also knows which fields not to display at all, since they are meta fields not being ment to be displayed.

Also, the string literal “Telephone” is now replaced with “Phone”, matching the phrase with the phone number of the data protection officer as well as reflecting the latter being more wildly used.
