Today, I’ve released Form Block Pro 1.3 with a bunch of new features as well as smaller bug fixes. One new feature again presents a brand new block, which you can use to repeat other form fields.

Repeater block

If you’re already familiar with the repeater field of Advanced Custom Fields Pro, you will notice similarities among these two. If not, let me explain: With the repeater block, you can define a subset of blocks, which can be repeated if you press the button designed for this action below it. This way, you can allow users to not only fill a specific set of fields, but also extending a list of fields if multiple entries are possible.

As an example, say you have a form where users can submit which desserts they’re preparing for your next event. Instead of having them comma-separated you can now use the new repeater block to allow the users to add multiple items to the form and fill each field with an individual dessert. Not only will you get a better overview in the form submissions with a real list, you’ll definitely get more prepared desserts – I promise. 😄

Define field value via URL parameter

The second main feature is the possibility to define a field’s value via URL parameter. This value will then be automatically inserted into the field after loading the page. You can enable this feature for each field individually. And as soon as your field has a name, the URL parameter you can use will be displayed below the field.

Dynamic changelogs

As already implemented in Impressum Plus 2.8.0, the dynamic changelogs feature has now also found its way into Form Block Pro. Find out more about dynamic changelogs in the news entry from Impressum Plus 2.8.0.

Form Block 1.5.2

Alongside Form Block Pro 1.3, Form Block 1.5.2 has been released, too. Aside of some fixes, it also adds the necessary functionality required for Form Block Pro 1.3 to work as well as support for the theme Twenty Twenty-Five.

That’s it

That were the biggest changes for Form Block Pro 1.3.0. For all changes, please visit the changelog.
